PTI Women Wing President Fauzia Kasuri Strongly Condemns that Women were not allowed to Vote in Shangla

The President of the Women Wing of PTI, Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri has strongly condemned the fact that women were not allowed to vote in the by elections held recently in Shangla. She regretted that in an earlier election in Mahnsehra, women voters were similarly disenfranchised .
It is a tragedy and a mockery of an election when female voters are forcefully kept away from the polls. It is a denial of a fundamental and basic right of women voters in a democratic set up. Mrs. Kasuri said that such an election should be declared null and void as it did not meet the requirements of a fair and free election.  She said that PTI Women Wing will take up the issue and work collectively with other NGOs to press for the condemnation and reversal of such a practice.
